Federal Zone conflict to be resolved by courts
http://www.tvislamujeres.com.mx/conflicto-por-zona-federal…/
Martín Trejo Manzano, better known as el "Gato" said that the conflict with the fishermen of the "Caribbean" cooperative will have to be resolved in the courts, as requested by that cooperative. He said that he hoped to reach an agreement with the fishermen, specifically with the managers, but they are not open to that and have closed his business; therefore due to these circumstances there is no other option than to continue by legal means.
It is recalled that the managers of the cooperative decided to take possession of the facility and surrounded the seafood restaurant rented by el "Gato" with their fishing nets. Mr. Trejo Manzano said that  unfortunately people do not understand that the best way to solve the problem is through dialogue. He blamed the leader of the cooperative, Felipe Trejo, for provoking the other partners and turning them against him.
This is causing him to take legal action with the intention of enforcing the contract that he still has with the cooperative, in order to be able to operate until next January, 2018. He said in spite of how this works out regarding the resolution by the authorities of this litigation which will start soon, he will always support the fishermen of the Caribe cooperative and will continue to pay the rent that was agreed upon, in accordance with the inflation that is occurring at this time.
Martin Trejo said, "I will never leave this group of fishermen unprotected, as long as I can continue working on that site and I am allowed to continue generating the resources necessary to make the required payments and support." He emphasized that he will always be open to dialogue and his intention is not to affect any of the fishermen of the group, but to help them at all times.
He asked that the members of the fishing group come together to reach an agreement that favors both parties before engaging in a legal battle that won't benefit anyone.

Renatta Dance Studio had a successful performance at the end of their course in Isla Mujeres
- http://www.tvislamujeres.com.mx/cierra-rds-con-exitoso-fes…/
More than 50 children and young people participated in the end of course performance, which was enjoyed by an audience of just over 1500 people on the Town Square this weekend. It was more than two hours of spectacle, with splendid routines full of color and light. There was a minor setback with power outages but the attendees never left their seats because they knew the wait was worth it.
The preparation by the young people and children was impressive, and their discipline and teamwork, which showed commitment by their parents as well.
The opening of the show began with participants in three categories, from the Juniors, to the Kits, and the Baby's came last, who are between the ages of four and six. The theme was a journey through time, featuring popular hits from the 90's.
The Renatta Dance Studio closed out another season with its fifth festival, featuring more than 50 dancers on stage, and guest artists. The participants, and their teacher, Renatta Roriguez, were applauded and congratulated by Mayor Juan Carrillo Soberanis. They are all from Isla Mujeres and year after year the community enjoys these course closures, and also their performances during Carnaval.

Three cases of decompression illness so far
- http://www.tvislamujeres.com.mx/ya-son-tres-los-descompres…/
Since the lobster catching season started at the beginning of July, the fishermen have reported good productivity, however three fishermen have required treatment for decompression illness. The manager of the hyperbaric chamber, said this number is expected to increase as the days pass.
Two of the fishermen treated were from the Isla Blanca cooperative and one was from the Caribe cooperative. Lobster fishing is not only done with traps and nets, but it is also done by diving with tanks or with a regular compressor. The later is the most common method used by the fishermen, and also the most dangerous.
The first case of decompression illness occurred on July 3 to Saúl Alejandro Aguilar Ferraes, 54, who had a mild case with abdominal pain, which required oxygenation in the chamber. The second case occurred on July 8 to  José Daniel Ricalde Mucil, 55, who is also with the Isla Blanca cooperative. His decompression was at 'Table five' and he was inside the chamber for about two hours.
The third case occurred a few days ago and was r Elihu Aaron Martínez, who presented with Type 1 decompression. His symptoms included dizziness, vomiting, itchy skin, and pain in one shoulder, so he was given "Table number five" (two hours and 15 minutes).
According to the staff who operate the hyperbaric chamber, the fishermen have had a good start because despite these three cases, they consider that the divers are being careful, given the low number of patients thus far.

It is noted that the Bancomer ATM in Chedraui was out of order, and that HSBC was recently affected by a massive robbery of passwords. It is also noted that there is a lack of ATM's between mid-island and Punta Sur, and that there are commercial establishments in colonia la Gloria and at Punta Sur where ATM's could be installed.

Flow of visitors continues
It is noted that while the weather was partly cloudy, a steady stream of visitors was arriving after 10am, but there are still hotel rooms available at the smaller establishments. Security personnel report no major problems.

Helping those with less
Ayuda a los que menos.. [+] Ver masFull article at this link

A program was launched on Monday afternoon to help those who have less to be able to store water during this hurricane season and to face the expenses of the next school year, according to the person in charge of the program, Roman Maldonado, head of the CROC union. The assistance consists of a 50 percent subsidy for the purchase of tinacos, with delivery of 30 of the water storage tanks on Monday. The tinacos are of different sizes and will be distributed to working families in the colonias, with the price of the largest ones being only 1224 pesos. The beneficiaries paid 600 pesos when they registered for the program and will pay the remainder at the time of delivery. They are hoping to expand the program to benefit hundreds of families in the upcoming weeks.
The delivery of these tinacos will be overseen by the mayor Juan Carrillo and the City Council, and was organized by the CROC union, as part of a national proposal being carried out with alliances with several companies to obtain better prices. Now this assistance to the workers is extended, as well as a subsidy program to provide cement for these families to improve their homes, during this season when fragile homes can be susceptible to storms and hurricanes.

School Aid
The plan to deliver school packages is expected to occur at the start of the next school year for about 400 students with scarce resources who live in the colonias of the island, with the option of doubling the capacity in the following weeks. It will also be 50 percent subsidy for the costs for students in primary, secondary, and high school.        For example, for the first to third grade, the cost of the package of school supplies would be 123 pesos, from four to sixth it would increase to 180,  according to the type of academic material they need.       Román Maldonado said they also plan to supply shoes to schoolchildren, of brands like Pirma and Flexi at a 50% discount.
